Why we're doing this
We've spent years studying photography education: what's being taught, how it's being taught, and where it can be better. What we found shaped everything about this guide. Here's what drove us to build it.
We saw the gap
Photography has thousands of educators but no reliable foundation. The same shortcuts, the same oversimplifications, passed around so many times they became the standard. We saw an opportunity to do it properly.
We felt responsible
With over 10 million photographers in our community, we have a platform unlike anyone else in photography education. That comes with responsibility. If we don't build the resource this community deserves, who will?
We built it
The Camera Settings guide goes step by step through aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. Accurately, without shortcuts. Every concept is designed to be seen, not just read. Diagrams over walls of text. Something you actually want to sit down with.

Camera Settings is the first in a series. Our goal is simple: build a complete, accurate foundation for photography education. Not rules to memorize. A real understanding that makes you a better photographer.
