About
This Cookie Policy relates to the visual guides (the "Visual Guide") and the associated purchase and delivery process operated by CameraSetup via learn.camerasetup.co.
Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, work more efficiently, and to provide reporting information. Where we refer to "cookies" in this policy, we also mean similar technologies such as tracking pixels, web beacons, and local storage.
Cookies set by CameraSetup directly are called first-party cookies; cookies set by parties other than CameraSetup are called third-party cookies. Some cookies remain on your device only for the duration of your visit (session cookies), while others remain until they expire or you delete them (persistent cookies).
CameraSetup reserves the right to amend or update this Cookie Policy at any time at its sole discretion. Any material changes will be posted prominently on this webpage. Continued use of learn.camerasetup.co following such notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Cookie Policy.

4. Cookies we use
Below is an overview of the cookies that may be set when you visit learn.camerasetup.co. We have grouped them by category. Strictly necessary cookies are always active because they are required for the website to function. All other cookies are only set after you give your consent through our cookie banner.
4.1 Strictly necessary
To remember your cookie consent choice across visits, we store your preference in your browser's local storage. This is set by CameraSetup and remains until you clear your browser data. It is required for the cookie banner to function and does not require consent.
4.2 Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website (which pages are most popular, how visitors navigate the site, where traffic comes from). Google Analytics is delivered through Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager itself does not set cookies but is used to manage which other tags load.

We use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on the Meta Platforms, and to reach relevant audiences on those platforms. The Meta Pixel is delivered through Google Tag Manager.

5. Legal basis
The processing of personal data through cookies must be based on a reason, also known as a legal basis, as stipulated in privacy legislation.
For strictly necessary cookies, the legal basis is CameraSetup's legitimate interest in providing a functional and secure website, together with the legal exemption for cookies strictly necessary to deliver a service requested by the user.
For analytics and advertising cookies, the legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you provide through our cookie banner. You can withdraw your consent at any time, as described in section 7.
6. Data sharing
In order to deliver the cookies described in section 4, CameraSetup makes use of third-party service providers. These providers act as independent data controllers and/or processors and have been selected with the understanding that they apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard your personal information. Their respective terms and privacy policies apply.
Some of these providers are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), specifically in the United States. Where such transfers occur, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your personal data, as required under applicable data protection laws.
Google LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc. are both certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which serves as the primary transfer mechanism. Where the Data Privacy Framework does not apply, transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
7. Your choices
You can manage cookies in several ways.
Through our cookie banner. When you first visit learn.camerasetup.co, you can either accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link in our footer to reopen the banner.
Through your browser. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect website functionality.
Through third-party opt-outs. You can also opt out of certain types of tracking directly with the providers, for example by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by adjusting your ad preferences in your Facebook account. For broader industry opt-outs in the EU, see youronlinechoices.eu.
8. Your rights
Where cookies process personal data, the rights described in our Privacy Statement apply. These include the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to the processing of your personal information, as well as the right to withdraw consent and to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
To exercise any of these rights, you can contact us at info@camerasetup.co.
9. Applicability
This Cookie Policy provides information about the cookies set on learn.camerasetup.co and pertains solely to that website. This Cookie Policy does not apply to third-party websites, including the checkout flow operated by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. CameraSetup advises customers to consult the privacy and cookie policies of any third-party platforms they interact with.
10. Updates
CameraSetup reserves the right to amend or update this Cookie Policy at any time at its sole discretion. Any material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of learn.camerasetup.co following such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
